In 2013, Fasih led a series of projects to build and overhaul the IT infrastructure, SAP Portfolio, and business applications at Loblaw Companies Limited (TSX: L), a subsidiary of George Weston Limited (TMX: WN). He ensured that the platforms and solutions integrated well with all upstream and downstream enterprise systems while aligning with all corporate policies and standards. Fasih also worked at 407 ETR / Highway 407 to do technology assessment for modernizing the legacy IT infrastructure for Billing and Rating.
In 2014 & 2015, Fasih delivered professional services for multiple projects within the Business Sustainability Program at Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) using SDLC Waterfall methodology with a combined value of approximately $5 million to build, migrate, and optimize IT infrastructure and applications in partnership with Cognizant Technology Solutions and other suppliers.
In 2015, Fasih also orchestrated the Enterprise IT Asset Management Program at Voya Financial (NYSE: VOYA), a Business Transformation initiative, from Cost Benefit Analysis/Project Financial Model to the Initiation, Demand Management, Definition, and Requirements Phase(s) following SDLC Waterfall methodology delivering the Program Artifacts such as Charter, Communications Plan, Training Plan, WBS with a financial oversight in Clarity and leveraged the Prosci ADKAR Change Management methodology and PMI Integrated Change Management Model.
Fasih joined the Bank of Montreal Financial Group / BMO Harris Bank in 2006 in Technology & Operations Group. He led project teams to overhaul the core network, build out and relocate data centers, transition the data centers to virtual platforms, and position the organization for virtualization and cloud services. From 2010 until 2012, Fasih served as the Senior Advisor in the IT Strategy & Planning Group, where he guided technology solution ideation, conception, and assessment for the Lines of Business in Personal & Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and Corporate Services. During his time in this role, Fasih led business optimization initiatives that favorably impacted the IT governance model, the Capital Markets IT maintenance spend, and corporate productivity metrics.
In the years prior to joining the Bank of Montreal Financial Group / BMO Harris Bank, Fasih served in diverse project management, program management, and technology consulting roles in various greenfield and brownfield projects in the Energy, Retail, IT and Telecom Sectors. He was intimately involved in the deployment of an enterprise SAP solution and the development of a Fleet Management System. He also program managed VoIP telephony, DSL and ISPs implementations internationally.
Fasih is a dynamic and high-octane leader with a unique depth and breadth of knowledge and industries backed up by 15+ years of practitioner experience including more than 20,000 hours of project/program management and over 6,000 hours of management consulting in the Financial Services, Retail, Energy, and IT & Telecom Sectors standing on a rock solid foundation of a B.E in Computer & Information Systems along with the industry leading credentials of Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a member of IEEE, Canadian Association of Management Consultants, and Project Management Institute. He also completed the prestigious Leadership Development Program through the Institute for Learning (IFL) at BMO Financial Group / BMO Harris Bank. As a visiting faculty, he has taught academic courses at universities on Introduction to Computers, Data Communications / Networking, and Telecommunications. He demonstrates a keen business mind, financial acumen, and an ability to drive ingenuity in the teams he leads. Fasih is also a high-energy public speaker and presenter and writes blogs about emerging technologies and how they could impact people, business processes, and the markets.
